Today is St Michael's Day, as popularised by Arseweb - Visit the page by clicking here

For me the moment still ranks as the most amazing of my life and I'm relatively certain that as a single moment of pure elation it will never be surpassed.
Many people find that strange...
"Dave surely the birth of your son and daughter were the most wonderful moments of your life"
Well no, and here's why: As absolutely fantastic as the birth of a child undoubtedly is, I had 9 months to prepare for the kids, but Micky Thomas bursting through in the final minute to win you the title, against all the odds, when your brain has convinced your heart that its impossible and then it happens - you just can't prepare for that, can you?
When the final whistle blew, I felt an ecstasy I've never known before or since, a feeling for which adjectives are inadequate, an emotion that touched every fibre of being until they strained fit to explode.
I don't mind admitting that after going completelty nuts for what seems like 10 seconds, but which my then girlfriend (now wife) told me went on for about 20 minutes as she cowered under the sofa in the next room, I fell onto the floor and sobbed like a baby,

For those of you old enough to remember it (it's 17 years ago now!), I'm sure you know what I mean.
In the same way that my father's generation can all remember exactly where they were when Kennedy died, I'm convinced that all true Gooners can tell you where they were at around 10.30pm on Friday, May 26th, 1989.
"Gooner of 59 years", what's your memory of the event?
I would love to here from others too.
