Arsene's dealings in the transfer market so far are creating very large surpluses of cash that are burning a big hole in his pockets.

I calculate that net cash generated from transfers in and out since the window opened are as high as £26m!

They may soon find their way......

Wenger has categorically denied that we will bring anyone in to the club in the next four days. I personally cannot beleive he could say this, given the lack of depth in our squad at the moment, coupled with our substantial injury count already. This is either a clever smokescreen to try and sneak a transfer or two in right on the deadline, or a gamble that we can survive on what we have until the next window, where he has already lined up a couple of players (like Modric for example). I pray that it is not the latter, because with the amount of money at his disposal, it would be a gamble which he can easily avoid.

I am very sick and tired of this gamble at Arsenal. Can't Arsene capitalise on what is happening at Newcastle fc now and go for OBAGOL. The boy will sure agree to come to Arsenal.A new own wants to emerge at Newcastle and the players are unsettled. Secondly, BIG SAM wants to rejuvenate Michael Owen by giving him more playing time than any other striker in the club. So, Arsene and Arsenal board should capital on that and go for OBAGOL. We are still having problem of striker. Arsenal creates the highest number of scoring oportunities but no person to finish them up. In OBAGOL, we (GUNNERS)are better of.

is there any point in buying a center half when we will have four available in jan of course not taking into account african nations. sendors has his faults but was terry any better at his age. buying players would only prevent the development of other players

I don't think Le boss likes to spend big. Spent big on Reyes and Wiltord but the latter was probably the better signing for me. So when it comes to spending big money on a player I think its kinda scary for him. Maybe I'm wrong but thats the way I look at it. We don't need cover we need replacements and fast, Senderos, Djourou and Song must go because in all fairness I don't see them being any use to us in the future. Modric would be a good signing but we need defenders more than anything because we don't have decent cover players. Alex from PSV was available on a free transfer but Arsene wasn't interested! Sagna is a good signing so far, Eduardo on the other hand I'm not so sure but its still early days for him to shine. Lehmans had his day, I think its time for Almunia to either step up to the plate and show us he is good or get Fabianski between the sticks.

Mr Wenger, please look at Manu's strikers and midfielders. All of them are excellent in scoring : Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez,Giggs, Scholes, Saha, Nani... and even their centers back (Vidic,..) can score.
Our players can't score. Boring Arsenal!

Edelman said that Wenger has double almost treble the loan repayments availible to him so judging last years payments (20Million) he has plenty of money for transfer fees and wages so
(a) He doesn't think we need players blocking the young players coming through.
or
(b) He doesn't want to leave Arsenal in an unstable financial position and a couple of places higher up the table is financially practial (cost/benefit).

Wouldnt it be wonderful if we could win the Championship on the cheap and give it large to those Wankers from the West end.

I would also like that left winger to continue the overmars/pires traditions. Never been convined by Sanderos and Djouru. We do need a 3rd center half that can actually compete with toure/gallas (who is clearly injury prone now), Micah would be harder to attain now, campbell is looking good again but is not a long term solution.

More important than all of these are the Super Super Strikers. They carry a team, they carry midfield, they have always carried Arsenal, the Wrighty’s, the Anelka’s and the Henry’s, they would take the pressure of midfield who will score more when relaxed, this is why super strikers are special.

Problem is I do not share the same faith in the current Wenger strike force that he does, even VP. He never dominates a game and is very left foot orientated as with nearly all left footers, he is too slow when put against the richards and ferdys, tackles poorly (no excuse for being a striker) and is easily fraustrated and wound up as always, which takes away from his game unlike Wrighty who relished this.

Wenger believes so much in Ade and VP that he would not bring in better players to distrupt their growth, he want them to believe, truth is they do not possess the natural abilities of the 3 strikers I metioned, and will always come u short against the better opposition, they do not give us the edge, we do enough to get by without the winger for now, but a winger with pace, scoring, assisting would give us further edge.

Anelka and Martins are required mostly to give us that edge and put the fear into the opposition, we are written off for a reason by some of our own supporters, oposition and neutrals. But regardless of what they say we are a great team when the final pieces are in place.

Anelka and Martins willll run rings around defences and give us the counter speed we need to be 3up in 25mins like Arsenal the 2nd, and frighten defences, they are both as quick as they come and Martins chases everything. Later we can address the wing and C’Half and maybe GK. We cannot address all of them this season, unfortunately it is too late, not enough time.

Here is my vision blended with Arsene’s.

Future 11:

The Great Goalie

Sagna Toure M Richards Clichy

Hleb Fabregas The Great Midfielder TG Winger

Martins Anelka

You want the moon on a stick mate! How many new signings are you hoping for there? I know the frustration, but in Wenger we must trust!

Players to buy:

M.Richards
J.Moutinho or N.Sahin
N.Anelka

And the team would be much more entertaining and complete :D Thats my opinion.

I agree with Le's comments and I don't believe much in our strike force : RVP and Ade do not give us the edge,Rosicky can't play as a left winger.
I think AW is getting old

Arsene has got rid of the big wages in the last 2 seasons,it's as simple as that. The point is we can achieve great things if he fills in the gaps in the squad that need filling. For starters it has been 4 years that i've said that jens should go.He' not good enough for arsenal as he has proved in the champios league final and the start of this campaign.we need a defender that can play for clichy and centrally if needed,a left winger that can read the game and score like pires and a striker, one between robinho, adriano or martins. It's simple.let's not play around waiting for january because it will be too late once all the competitions start, our squad will be too thin, injuries and africans nations permitting.

I think we are looking good at the moment.

I would like some more width, but i reckon we are going to move for a 4 3 3 soon with Eduardo on the left, Van Persie on the right and Adebayor or Bendtner in the middle.

If Sagna can play as a CB and Gilberto can cover there as well, the real problem area is defensive midfielders.

We should also look at what players may break through in the next 18 months, perhaps AW has seen something there.
