The West Ham Manager has attacked Arsenal's lack of English players today.


At a press conference before the Bolton game Pardew said:

I saw a headline saying Arsenal are flying the flag for Britain in the Champions League, but I had to wonder where that British involvement was when I saw the team.
There was a big commotion when that first happened and it shouldn't be washed under the mat again.
Every English club should carry at least three British players in the first team. The foreign players have added massively to our game, but the soul of the club is the homegrown players and they should be integrated into that team.

It is important we don't lose sight that this is the English Premier League and English players should be involved. I know it is difficult to buy British players because the market is expensive.

Chelsea are in a position where they can pay over the odds to bring in those players whereas we have had to search through the lower divisions to do that and Dean Ashton was the only player we had to pay top money for.

So Alan can you tell me which English players we could afford, that are good enough, that you would play in place of Henry, Toure, Eboue, Senderos etc. Arsenal have paid big money for Walcott! I think if you're good enough you'll get the chance.
I don't think it is Arsenal's problem if there aren't enough good English players to play for our club. Perhaps if Pennant could stay sober long enough to get his boots on he could have been playing last night, but when Fabregas was making his debut for Spain at 18, Pennant was getting thrown out of Birmingham night club for been a wanker.


Chelsea have 3 - 4 if we count S.W-P who lives on the bench, Joe Cole has worked his ass off to get into the Chelsea team and is a better player for it, but Chelsea sent out Wayne Bridge and replaced him with Del Horno


I am Arsenal and I don't care what country you are from when you put on that Shirt, I was proud last night of beating Real Madrid and I am proud today. So do us a favour Mr Pardew and shut the fuck up .
