As of this morning, it has been confirmed that Bobby Pires will be leaving Arsenal for Villarreal.

I would like to addmy voice to the thousands of other fans in saying "Thank you" to him for the pleasure he has brought to me and all Gooners.
I still remember that goal away at Villa, lobbing the ball over Shmeichel - truly world class.

The Boss had this to say:

Robert has had six tremendous years with us and made a huge contribution to the team’s success during his time here. He is not only a great footballer but a good man, so of course, we are sad to see him go. It’s difficult to pick out one or two highlights but he was superb in our double winning season during the 2001/02 campaign and contributed hugely to our unbeaten season with 19 goals. I would like to thank Robert for the dedication, determination and passion he has shown and wish him well in his career

But rather than me rambling on, I figured the best thing was to put up a video of him in action.

Enjoy

Thanks Bobby and Au Revoir.

He has been amazing for us and imagine if he hadn't got that injury. Quality player but he was struggling this season with the physical side. Rosicky has a much higher work rate and gets stuck in more but i doubt he will give us Bob's goals.

A truly class act, who has left me with some fantastic memories. He'll be sorely missed, there's not many players at the club, who are equally as good with either foot. Cheers Robert, bon chance

The Tune is taken from 'Oh Fortuna', the introduction to on the opera 'Carmina Burana' by Carl Orff.
You can download a free version here: http://www.anthea2.freeuk.com/carminaburana/
