I think I aged about 15 years watching last nights game. It has to be the worst 87 minutes I have endured. Even the F.A. Cup Final last May was not as bad to watch as this.

Arsenal did not play well, we didn't keep the ball, and did not manage a single shot at goal in the first 45 minutes.
Second half was worse, with Villareal missing a host of chances, only from about 75 minutes gone did we seem to start to look like we were over the worst, I thought Villareal were starting look a little weary.

The nail biting continued, and then in the 87th minute that diving cunt Jose Mari went down quicker than a 2 dollar whore and the Ref bought it. I and the other Gooners in the BBYC are crest fallen. My heart is pounding so much in my chest, I think its going to burst out.

The camera shows Riquelme, he actually looks more scared than me... is this a good sign I wonder, more in hope than anything else. I remember a good friend's words from the FA Cup Final last year ...

"Dave never bet against the Germans when it comes to Penalties."

And so big Jens is standing tall, Riquelme shoots, Lehmann dives to his left and saves it, me and Steve (Canadian Gooner) grab each other and go mental, no other word for it, 89 minutes of frustration is let out in one moment.

The next 3 minutes are a blur, Henry almost won it with a break away, but after what seems like 4 hours, the final whistle goes and we all go crazy once again.

I don't ever want to suffer like that again, but we can now look forward to Paris, perhaps after the luck we had in The Madrigal might just mean its our year. Below is the Penalty save.

Enjoy the moment Gooners!
