The 1-1 Draw with Portsmouth, means we now need the Spuds to drop points, while we can't afford to drop any.

There has been some finger pointing over the rotation of players this week, but I watched the game against Portsmouth and the players on the pitch should have had the game won.
We all know that ,at this level, if you miss chances then there is always the possibility you'll pay the price and so it proved on Wednesday.

In all honesty we should have had at least 3 goals and the header that Adebayor missed was easier to put in the net than round the post, so if that had gone it was game over.

West Brom at home on Saturday (The game is live on Direct TV for those of you in North America) is next, and we can expect another tough game. In fact, to quote Arsenal old boy Kevin Campbell, they intend to make it:

messy and nasty

So make of that what you will.

Speaking of Campbells, Sol broke his nose against Pompey, and has had surgery which means he won't be playing, so expect to see big Phil back alongside Toure. The Spuds travel to Everton, so we are looking for the Toffees to do us a favour, but we need to do ourselves one first and take all 3 points.

Come on Gooners!

On current form, it ought to be 3 points for Arsenal. But Arsenal's problem is holding onto a lead, shipping in soft goals when the game is not sewn up. Unless Arsenal builds up a 3-0 lead early in the match, teams get a fair chance in knocking in an equaliser or even nicking a winner.

Evidence in point: Last season's home game against WBA. And this season's loss at The Hawthornes.

This match is not won yet. The Gunners have it in their hands to secure all 3 points comfortably (and make it a painful return for Kanu, Kevin Campbell and Inamoto).
