Man Utd 2 v Arsenal 0

This was always going to be a a test of how far we've come in the last 2 months. The measure was perhaps not quite so easy to make, with Henry rested ahead of the Portsmouth game.
Perhaps this was an indication of where Wenger was thinking the points are going to come from.
As it was even without Henry, Arsenal started very well and for the first 20 minutes the passing and movement had United on the back foot. Sadly, without Henry, it did look like all the fine approach play lacked an end result.
As the game went on United got more and more dominant, and to be fair, deserved the victory. This was not a bad Arsenal performance in my view, simply that, after the heroics of Turin, the boys faded.
After a trip to Europe in midweek, the last place you probably want to go is to Old Trafford, especially when they are chasing Chelsea, have not played in midweek and have won their last 8 games.
I thought Gilberto had another excellent game, and again the experience gained from this defeat should help the younger players for next season, this being the first visit to Old Trafford for quite a number of the side.
Our problems in the league are not from losing at Old Trafford, but from defeats at places like Everton, West Brom, Blackburn etc. This defeat does not change things regarding 4th place, its still in our hands, of course its now vital to get a win at Portsmouth on Wednesday.
