great result. great display by cesc and especiallly pires........and underlines that arsene was well worth getting rid of viera, even though he WAS a great midfielder.......come one inter.......

Swiss Gooner, I have to say I think i was as surprised as Paddy was , when Bobby Pires tackled back and robbed him of the ball for the first goal !

That was a superb performance by Cesc, Kolo, Eboue and Sanderos. Hleb was underperforming today and Pires was not magnificent. Reyes was a bit dissapointing, as I just love him. Flamini really should be considered as a left back soon, because he never played anywhere nearly as good in the middle as he has done on the left back.
Hleb was a big dissapointment today and what I think is fantastic is that we managed to win with key midfielders underpreforming!

Tribute to Gilberto!
Tonight "the ivisible wall" became visible and ROCK-HARD! Allowing cesc and bobby to roam and create. Gilberto won every header against giants like ibrahimovic and trezeguet... MAGNIFICENT! The part with headers can also be said of Senderos...

Hleb was excellent. tracked back, worked hard, made some seriously good passes and one of them resulted in the second goal. Hleb to Fab to Henry - the rest is history!

I was at the game. When we scored the first goal I've never seen the crowd go so mad. I feel off my seat standing up and was swept away in a heaving mass of insane, jubilant fans; everyone with mouths agape and indulging in one, giant, primal scream!!

Fantastic tonight - Flamini (a poor midfielder) doing a better job than Cole in the left back pos. Sol and Cole can only weaken this defence. We have now equalled Milan's record of 7 consecutive clean sheets in the champ's league.

Any idiot that criticises Hleb needs his head examined. He held the ball well, kept it moving and rarely gave it away. he also set up the second goal with a sublime pass to Fab in the box.
And he tackled back to help out Eboue when required. Matthieu Flamini made sure the supply line from our left flank was virtually non-existent. So any of you tossers out there who feel like criticising ANY of the Arsenal players last night, you aren't much of a Gooner and you certainly know f*** all about Football! The only criticism you could make about last night is that we could have scored 2 more and it wouldn't have flattered us!

excellent result!!!!!!!!!!!
cesc, gilberto, henry, toure were brilliant.although reyes and hleb didnt had match of thier standards, they worked very hard for the win.reyes was responsible for almost all the bookings to juve players.whenever reyes was having ball i hoped something will happen.in first half hleb was not effective but i think the waterlogged pitch was a reason for his sublime play.players like hleb need a dry surface to show their skills. anyway it was one of the best arsenal displays i had ever seen. comon boys we can do it this season. and lastly plese dont forget to salute our hero behind the screen, our great ARSENE WENGER. THANK YOU WENGER FOR BUILDING SUCH A GREAT FOOTBALL TEAM CALLED "ARSENAL"

Everyone played well. Hleb had a bad first 15minutes but so did Henry(but he was isolated at first). Defensively hleb and eboue kept the right side safe. Also for the first 15minutes i felt Flamini was Man of the Match. Tactical genius making Pires mark Vieira out of the game. and how can anyone say Reyes had a bad game when he made Vieira look like a fool about three times(and got him suspended). Did any one see how Vieira couldnt look any of the Arsenal players in the eye during the handshakes b4 the game, he was shook.

i was also at the game n i agree with harry baracuda, u cant bring down any of the arsenal players for their performance last night. they were just unreal. I am not the biggest fan of flamini either, but he also played great. and might i add i thought the 'booing' of viera was wrong.

the played excellent, everyone of them. Gilberto has to get to some sorta recognition (well done steenP). hes excellent gets around unoticed, an does whats asked of him nothing more nothing less. fabregas 10/10. Eboue well time to sell lauren, kerrea gilbert coming through too. Arsene wenger a shame he aint bristish cus he deserves a knight hood. if we get past juve in italy them im putting money on arsenal lifting the champions league for the 1st time, a great leaving present for highbury.
