Blackburn 1 v 0 Arsenal

After the joys of The Bernabeu, it was back to Ewood Park and more of the same away day blues that we have become used to this season.

I watched the full game on Fox Soccer Channel and while we were't not as bad as Everton, it was still hard to take. Blackburn now move above Arsenal in the table and Champions League qualification is starting to look unlikely.

Why did we not start to play until an hour into the match? Wenger felt we were unlucky to lose and probably in that last 30 minutes it could be argued that we did create enough chances to get a point, but Bellamy could easily have doubled Rovers advantage in the final minute. Wenger can say what he likes but I doubt many others watching would agree with him on it overall. In a Nutshell, Henry was non-existent, Reyes was so anonymous that if I hadn't seen the team sheet I doubt I would have noticed he had been substituted at half time. Was this the same Reyes who was such a handful in Madrid?

I think Arsene Wenger put a brave face on his public views of this game, because I can't believe that he truly thinks there was not a lot wrong with the way we played. The game is 90 minutes not 30, and for the most of it we were 2nd best again.
