A goal 3 minutes from the end of normal time sent Arsenal to their 9th defeat of the season. I can't say Liverpool didn't deserve the victory, but as always in these cases, any late goal is hard to take. The goal came after Dietmar Hamann struck a fierce shot from outside the box, Lehmann who had been superb all evening got a hand to it and pushed it away, but Garcia reacted quicker than the Arsenal defence to put the ball into the Net.

Lehmann had kept Arsenal in the game on a number of occasions, one in the first half when a stray header for Senderos looked like it would loop into the net, and also a fine penalty save from Gerrard, after Liverpool were harshly given a spot kick by Graham "Fucking Arsehole" Pole for Eboue supposedly pushing Morrientes. Crap decision .. great save by the big German mentalist, who wasted no time in telling Pole it was not a pen in the first place.

So overall not a great deal to shout about from a Gooners perspective... I can only remember one save from Dudek, when Henry in the second half had a shot from about 30 yards, but other than that, there was not too much to get excited about. Defense did

ok, Senderos is looking like he is getting more confident. It was good to have Toure back, and I thought Eboue did well too, but there was nothing going forward today and at the end of the night, as tough as it is to take, we can't really say that Liverpool did not deserve the points.

Man of the Match: Jens Lehmann, I think that says enough.
